When psychic Ana Vangelena was a little girl,
she thought her rare talent was normal for everyone.
She was surprised when she found out she was one of a
select few who possessed the special ability. “I
thought everyone could do things like that. It was a real
surprise when I found out they couldn't”, Vangelena
said. Although she was born in Detroit, Vangelena’s
family moved to Dearborn Heights when she was 4. A graduate
of Crestwood High School, the 32 year-old continues
to make Dearborn Heights her home. Vangelena had her first
psychic experience when she was 8. She dreamt the cherry
tree next door would fall on the neighbor’s house.
She told her mother about the dream. Two days later, a
server thunderstorm came, lighting hit the cherry tree
and the tree fell on the neighbor’s house.
Vangelena’s skills developed for here. She continued
to have premonitions, which sometimes disrupted family like.
An example was her refusing to go to Frankenmuth because she
knew the car would be in an accident. She was also aware ahead
of time of aunts dying on two separate occasions.
WHEN SHE WAS 14, Vangelena started to read for people although
she did not yet charge for her services. She started by reading
Greek coffee cups and moved on to tarot cards. She then realized
the ability was within her and she did not need devices like
cards or cups. While some psychics take classes or attend a
school to enhance their abilities, Vangelena never had any
formal training . She just developed naturally. Vangelena's
psychic skills include clairvoyance and Clair audio, meaning
she visually and audibly senses things others cannot. She is
also able to read palm and crystals for her clients. Today,
Vangelena has a small office inside the Hair in Vogue beauty
Salon in the Orchard Mall Orchard Lake and Maple roads in West
Bloomfield Township. “When people come in, if they
have questions, they can ask then, or they can just sit there,
” Vangelena said. “They don’t have to say
anything,”
Generally, the readings are of the immediate
past and future. “I usually don’t go past three to
six months’” the psychic said. “People usually
are more concerned with now, not five years in the future,
I will. Vangelena HAS a lot to believers especially in Florida,
where she owned a restaurant and other properties for 10 years.
Her restaurant was near Dearborn Towers in Clearwater, FL. And
she lived across the street from the senior complex. “
I read for probably half of the building;” she said How
accurate is Vangelena? Accurate enough, apparently that several
celebrities and law enforcement agencies have repeatedly sought
her out.
One television mogul has flown Vangelena to the Caribbean
42 times for readings. She has also read several times for
well-known American television and movie actors. VANGELENA
DOES not share names of her clients famous or not, with others to
maintain the clients confidentiality. When it comes to federal
and local agencies, Vangelena said her record is perfect in
helping to solve crimes, although sometimes it takes months to
finally close a case. “When an agency comes to me for help,
they never tell me anything about the case. They just ask me
what I sense” Vangelena said. “They then apply
what I said to the case,” Vangelena will sometimes
get a name or initial, and sometimes physically see a person,
a place or even a specific location great detail, like where blood
stains might be found. “A lot of times after I’ve
helped them solve cases, they ask me to read for them personally,
” Vangelena said of the agency officials. VANGELENA
HAS several words of warning to people considering seeing a psychic.
“If someone says you have a dark cloud around you or you
are cursed, but he or she will remove the cloud or curse for a
price take your money and run,” Vangelena said.
“That’s one of the oldest scams.” Among
the things psychics cannot do:
Remove Curse
Make someone fall in love with you.
Make your personal life better, like by magically saving your marriage.
She also warned people of astrologers and astrology when it
comes to predictions. “Astrologers cannot accurately predict
your future unless they had some psychic abilities themselves,”
Vangelena said. “ All they can tell you from the charts are
personality traits and vague forces which may come into play. They
can only give generalities, not specifics, like be careful of your
car because your tires and brakes are worn,” Vangelena
especially warned of newspaper horoscopes. “Cover up the names
of the signs and switch them around, can you really tell which one
was Scorpio and which was Aries?” she challenged.
Vangelena’s skills are growing in popularity. She has been on
WXYZ’s “Company” twice and has been on the radio.
She is now working on a special step-by –step video on how to
develop psychic abilities and is working on a book. To Setup
